About the Role
In this role, you will analyze DeFi protocols, tokenomics, and market dynamics to identify promising technologies and investment opportunities. You will create investment memos and financial models, source deals, build founder relationships, monitor portfolio performance, conduct research, and publish insights about the market.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Native product knowledge of the on-chain DeFi stack
- Prior investment experience preferably at a crypto fund in investing or trading
- Demonstrated DeFi investment exposure
- Excellent research and communication skills
- Data-oriented approach with the ability to synthesize findings into recommendations
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter
Responsibilities
- Analyze DeFi protocols tokenomics and market dynamics
- Create investment memos and financial models
- Monitor market trends and identify emerging opportunities
- Generate deal flow across liquid and venture investments
- Build and maintain relationships with DeFi founders and operators
- Screen opportunities and track the investment pipeline
- Attend industry events and represent the firm
- Monitor portfolio company performance and token metrics
- Prepare portfolio updates and performance reports
- Support portfolio companies with strategic initiatives and research
- Refine views on underpriced market value
- Publish blog posts and knowledge nuggets
