About the Role
You will build and lead an engineering function that turns manufacturing and supply-chain operations into software. You will set technical direction, sequence work with the Product Manager, write and ship code weekly, and hire engineers. You will own architecture for operational data and work alongside sourcing, quality, factory, and warehouse operators to deliver systems that run production workflows.
Requirements
- Production experience with Go, Python, or TypeScript
- Experience hiring and leading engineering teams through high-stakes delivery
- Experience with LLM APIs, MCP servers, agentic frameworks, Claude Code, and Cursor
- Experience building software for operational users
- Architecture and data-model design experience
- Experience delivering software against a hard physical date
Responsibilities
- Build and lead the manufacturing and supply-chain engineering team
- Set technical direction and sequence work with the Product Manager
- Write and ship production code weekly
- Hire engineers for the function
- Own architecture for bills of materials, purchase orders, vendor documents, inventory, and shipments
- Develop systems for procurement tracking, receiving, quality, and order scheduling
- Work alongside sourcing, quality, factory, and warehouse operators
