About the Role

You will support day-to-day operations for a multi-megawatt colocation datacentre in Kajaani. You will maintain and commission electrical, mechanical, cooling, and automation infrastructure; coordinate maintenance; resolve operational issues; support capacity planning; and help improve energy efficiency. You will also be available for on-call work outside shift hours when required.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Finnish
  • 3+ years of datacentre experience or related industrial operations management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of datacentre infrastructure processes, including power distribution, cooling systems, direct liquid cooling, automation and building management systems, fire tracing, and security technologies
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid B driving license

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day datacentre infrastructure operations, including automation, electrical, mechanical, and running processes
  • Ensure 24/7 uptime and availability of datacentre infrastructure
  • Collaborate with engineering, facility maintenance, and technical teams to resolve operational issues
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for datacentre operations
  • Operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, liquid-cooling, and automation infrastructure
  • Resolve technical issues and requests related to datacentre infrastructure
  • Schedule and coordinate equipment inspections, repairs, and regular maintenance
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
  • Communicate planned maintenance, downtime, and operational changes to stakeholders
  • Support space and cooling capacity planning
  • Evaluate infrastructure utilization and support expansion or upgrade planning
  • Align infrastructure resources with business needs
  • Support energy-efficiency, cost-optimization, and environmental-impact initiatives
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the datacentre team
