About the Role
You will own solution architecture for regulatory reporting and GCP lakehouse domains. You will design data models, schema contracts, batch and streaming ingestion, data quality controls, governance, and security. You will produce architecture artefacts, guide platform setup, review designs, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 10 or more years in data engineering and data architecture
- Experience delivering cloud data solutions in a regulated environment
- Post-trade or regulatory reporting data experience
- Hands-on GCP expertise including BigQuery
- Production medallion lakehouse design experience
- Enterprise Kafka and governed schema registry experience
- Data governance experience in a regulated environment
- Experience producing formally reviewed architecture artefacts
- Cloud integration patterns including REST API, MFT, event streaming, and AWS to GCP integration
- Apache Flink or Spark Structured Streaming
- Java and event-driven microservices fluency
- Oracle RDBMS, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
- dbt, Terraform, or equivalent infrastructure as code
- Attendance in the office three days per week
Responsibilities
- Own solution architecture for post-trade regulatory reporting data
- Design GCP lakehouse solutions from Kafka ingestion through reporting consumption
- Model dimensional and canonical data structures
- Design and review Avro schema contracts and Kafka topics
- Design batch and streaming ingestion patterns
- Build data-quality controls, reconciliation, lineage, and audit evidence into designs
- Apply PII, access-control, encryption, and key-management governance
- Specify data-platform runtime requirements with infrastructure and platform engineering
- Produce HLDs, interface specifications, ADRs, and reference designs
- Collaborate with engineering, business, and compliance stakeholders
- Contribute to design reviews, standards, knowledge sharing, and mentoring
