About the Role
Lead the data function for cross-border payment operations by developing data-driven business strategy, building data warehouse, data middle platform, and BI systems, managing BI and Data Engineering teams, and partnering across the organization to improve efficiency, growth, and revenue.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of data analysis and data management experience in cross-border payments or fintech.
- Strong understanding of cross-border collection and payment, clearing and settlement, overseas compliance, and risk control.
- Payment-industry data team management experience is preferred.
- Strong commercial data thinking and business acumen.
- Ability to build business-oriented data analysis frameworks and actionable optimization solutions.
- Knowledge of data platforms, data warehouses, data middle platforms, and end-to-end data governance.
- Ability to lead platform planning and implementation and coordinate technical teams; hands-on coding is not required.
- At least 2 years of data team management experience, including leadership of BI and Data Engineering teams.
- Experience with objective decomposition, process optimization, team development, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in SQL, data analysis tools, and BI visualization tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Data Analysis, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the full lifecycle of cross-border payment scenarios, including processing, clearing, foreign exchange settlement, risk control, revenue generation, and capital flow.
- Establish standardized data analysis frameworks and KPI systems.
- Deliver business reviews, growth strategies, and risk analyses for management decision-making.
- Lead planning and implementation of data warehouse, data middle platform, and BI visualization platforms.
- Oversee data governance, including standardized data definitions, data layering, and permissions.
- Manage BI and Data Engineering teams, workflows, objectives, task allocation, and collaboration.
- Coordinate with business, risk, operations, finance, and product teams on data requirements.
- Build monitoring, early-warning, and business review mechanisms.
- Identify growth opportunities and operational pain points using data insights.
- Drive business efficiency and revenue growth through data.
