About the Role
You will lead day-to-day physical security operations at assigned data center campuses. You will manage guarding vendors, access control, surveillance, incident response, audits, and security requirements for operational sites and construction projects.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive physical security experience
- 3+ years managing security operations in critical infrastructure, data centers, manufacturing, military, or similar high-security environments
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience managing contract guard forces and security vendors
- Experience with enterprise access control and video management systems
- Experience leading incident response and investigations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain required background checks and site access
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI, CPTED, layered physical security design, LenelS2, Genetec, Milestone, or Gallagher is preferred
- ASIS certification or military or law-enforcement leadership experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead physical security operations across assigned data center campuses
- Manage contracted security officers, guarding vendors, staffing plans, inspections, and escalations
- Oversee access control, surveillance, visitor management, and perimeter protection
- Manage badge issuance, access authorization, credential lifecycles, and privileged access reviews
- Lead physical security incident responses and investigations
- Prepare incident reports, root cause analyses, corrective action plans, and audit evidence
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders
- Support audits, inspections, security assessments, and corrective actions
- Provide security guidance for operational planning and business continuity
- Support security requirements for new builds, expansions, and facility commissioning
