About the Role

You will take part in planning, designing, and laying out new data center facilities or expansions, providing on-site supervision during renovation, construction, and system installation. You will coordinate with contractors, vendors, engineers, and internal teams to ensure project quality, and plan and oversee the deployment of IT equipment such as servers, storage, and networking. You will ensure compliance with electrical, mechanical, cooling, and fire safety standards, conduct site inspections, and deliver regular project status reports. On the operations side, you will perform ongoing maintenance of electrical systems, cooling and mechanical systems, fire suppression systems, rack and structured cabling, and IT equipment environments. You will monitor environmental conditions, respond to alerts, execute preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshoot issues across power, cooling, network, servers, or facilities, and maintain documentation for configurations, layouts, maintenance logs, and SOPs. You will also support capacity planning and work closely with IT and business teams to ensure reliable service delivery.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of data center engineering or operations experience
  • Experience managing multi-phase data center build-outs
  • Familiarity with industry standards (TIA, Uptime, ASHRAE, etc.)
  • Background working with cross-regional or multinational teams
  • Experience in data center planning, construction, or facilities/IT infrastructure engineering
  • Strong understanding of critical data center systems (power, cooling, fire protection, cabling, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with IT equipment deployment and maintenance
  • Ability to coordinate with contractors and supervise on-site work
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across physical and IT layers
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork capabilities
  • Ability to travel for on-site work as required
