About the Role

You will own payments data from product launch through reporting. You will partner with Operations, Finance, Partnerships, and Data Engineering to translate business questions into reliable datasets, cost models, and dashboards. You will build data-quality controls, automate reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and validate payment-data mappings as products and payment methods change.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of data analytics or analytics engineering experience, preferably in payments, fintech, e-money, or crypto
  • Expert SQL skills on large transactional datasets, including window functions, deduplication, incremental logic, and performance tuning
  • Hands-on dbt experience and a Git-based workflow, including pull requests and code review
  • Familiarity with Airflow
  • Knowledge of card payment economics, including acquiring, interchange, scheme fees, settlement, chargebacks, 3DS, and declines
  • Reconciliation experience with settlement or invoice files and internal ledgers
  • Hands-on Python experience
  • Experience with Metabase, Tableau, or similar BI tools
  • Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders
  • Professional written and spoken English

Responsibilities

  • Model data requirements, revenue recognition, cost recognition, marts, and dashboards for new products
  • Translate stakeholder questions into reliable datasets and Metabase or Tableau dashboards
  • Build data-quality checks and alerts using dbt and Airflow
  • Build and maintain transaction cost models for each transaction
  • Run and automate monthly reconciliations between partner invoices, settlement reports, and internal data
  • Investigate, quantify, and help recover reconciliation discrepancies
  • Define fee and cost logic for new acquirers, payment methods, and products
  • Validate data mappings before reporting
