About the Role

You will lead and scale the engineering organization, architect AI agent systems for high load B2C environments, and own the full technology stack including TypeScript, Restate, Kubernetes, and AWS. You will define engineering processes, code quality standards, and deployment practices while collaborating with product and design to translate vision into scalable systems. You will make key decisions on infrastructure, model design and agent design, and hire and mentor senior engineers as the team grows. You move fast, think in systems, and balance technical excellence with product velocity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Hands-on experience building and shipping AI agents or LLM-based products in production.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and distributed systems architecture.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and AWS at scale.
  • Deep understanding of high-load B2C systems — latency, reliability, scalability.
  • Proven ability to lead and grow engineering teams.
  • Ability to move fast without breaking things — you've done 0→1 and 1→N.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the engineering team (currently 4 engineers), setting technical direction and culture
  • Architect and oversee the development of AI agent systems — both high-load B2C agents and complex multi-agent pipelines
  • Own the full technical stack: TypeScript, Restate, Kubernetes, AWS
  • Define engineering processes, code quality standards, and deployment practices
  • Collaborate closely with product and design to translate vision into scalable systems
  • Make key decisions on infrastructure, model selection, and agent design
  • Hire and mentor senior engineers as the team scales
