About the Role

You will develop and optimize credit strategies across areas such as credit limits, payment speed, collections, and model prototyping. You will use SQL, quantitative reasoning, credit risk judgment, and AI tools to investigate data, build workflows, evaluate risk signals, make policy decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to implement risk infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in credit risk management or a quantitative strategy role
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using SQL or Python for data retrieval and manipulation
  • Demonstrable AI fluency, including experience naming tools, showing artifacts, explaining failure modes, and verifying outputs
  • Ability to define questions, obtain data, make decisions, communicate tradeoffs, and drive follow-through in ambiguous situations
  • Strong communication skills for explaining complex credit risk decisions
  • Experience building credit risk in card or expense management products is a plus
  • Experience in high-growth startups is a plus
  • Previous experience with operations teams is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own credit risk strategy for model prototyping, credit limits, payment speed, and collections
  • Use SQL, quantitative reasoning, and credit risk judgment to investigate patterns and define policy changes
  • Build tools, apps, dashboards, agents, notebooks, QA loops, monitors, and decisioning processes
  • Use AI tools for research, analysis, coding, synthesis, writing, verification, and follow-through
  • Build AI into credit risk workflows for feature exploration, policy monitoring, case review, exception handling, decision support, documentation, and human-in-the-loop QA
  • Investigate data sources and model features and evaluate signal quality, coverage, and failure modes
  • Make credit risk decisions that balance losses, customer experience, operational burden, growth, compliance, and risk-adjusted returns
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Risk Operations, Finance, Customer Experience, and Compliance to execute and build risk infrastructure
