About the Role
You will draft, review, and support negotiation of contracts, update contract templates, and manage corporate registration materials and internal rules. You will plan compliance training, handle permits and filings, research applicable laws, coordinate external legal providers, introduce legal tools, and standardize legal processes.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of corporate legal experience at a company or law firm
- Experience reviewing and drafting contracts
- Basic knowledge of relevant Japanese laws
- Communication skills for coordinating with diverse stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and support negotiation of contracts including NDAs
- Update and review contract templates in response to legal and business changes
- Prepare and manage commercial registration materials
- Draft, revise, and manage internal rules
- Plan, prepare, and run internal compliance training
- Handle and manage permits, filings, and applications
- Research applicable laws and advise business units
- Support legal and compliance projects
- Coordinate with external lawyers, judicial scriveners, and legal-tech vendors
- Introduce, operate, and improve legal tools and processes
- Manage legal knowledge and documents systematically
- Build standardized and efficient legal processes
