About the Role
You will lead on-site construction for a Memphis data center. You will manage contractors and vendors, oversee project execution through commissioning, mitigate risks, maintain schedules, report progress, verify technical quality, manage change orders, lead safety initiatives, and support evolving project needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years managing large-scale data center or mission-critical construction projects
- Expertise in construction management, commissioning, and site operations
- Ability to lead on site and build trust with vendors, partners, and technical teams
- Experience managing programs with multiple vendors
- Communication skills across field and technical disciplines
- Ability to solve complex real-time problems
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to pass pre-employment and annual post-employment background checks
- Ability to work with noise exposure
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with contractors, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Oversee project execution from pre-construction through commissioning and controls
- Coordinate vendors and communication between field and technical teams
- Identify and mitigate delivery, safety, and operational risks
- Resolve project roadblocks and maintain timelines
- Align construction schedules with infrastructure goals
- Guide commissioning and resolve issues
- Deliver KPI and dashboard updates
- Ensure compliance with technical and quality standards
- Perform quantity take-offs and field verifications
- Manage change orders and control costs
- Lead site safety initiatives
- Support cross-functional partners as project needs evolve
