About the Role
You will own compute resources for model training, research, and customer workloads. You will allocate capacity, source and secure provider capacity, oversee cluster acceptance and performance testing, monitor cluster health, optimize utilization, translate roadmaps into compute requirements, and forecast demand for planning and budgeting.
Responsibilities
- Manage compute allocations across training, research, and customer workloads
- Source and secure compute capacity from providers
- Lead capacity deals from initial call through contract and delivery
- Define cluster acceptance criteria and run burn-in and performance testing
- Monitor cluster health, node failures, and downtime
- Drive fixes with compute providers
- Track utilization and quota usage by project
- Identify and reallocate idle or underused capacity
- Translate research and product roadmaps into compute requirements
- Build compute-demand forecasting models for long-term planning and budgeting
