About the Role
You will own the end-to-end compute build-out strategy, from site selection through construction and operations. You will coordinate cross-functional workstreams, represent the organization to external stakeholders, maintain government and energy-industry relationships, track risks, and align global priorities with Japanese conditions.
Requirements
- Japanese national strongly preferred
- Established links into government and the energy industry strongly preferred
- Ability to learn new domains quickly
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
- Background in energy, infrastructure, or a related sector
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, or experience
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end strategy and coordination for the compute build-out
- Lead and coordinate leasing, financing, energy, government relations, community engagement, construction, and operations workstreams
- Drive alignment and unblock issues across the in-country cross-functional team
- Represent the organization with government officials, utilities, energy providers, and other external stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with government and the energy industry
- Track progress and surface risks across parallel workstreams
- Translate global compute priorities into country-specific regulatory, political, and market conditions
