About the Role

You will steward Discord, grow community programs, recruit and support moderators, and run digital events and challenges. You will build community automations, support scalable local events, engage developers across social channels, and translate feedback, bugs, and sentiment into actionable product insights.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in community management, developer community, or a related role
• Experience running Discord or similar communities at meaningful scale
• Experience with community events, programs, and moderation
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and their APIs
• Ability to read and write example code and discuss model tradeoffs
• Strong written communication across Discord, Twitter/X, and Reddit
• Experience designing contributor, ambassador, or moderator programs
• Experience running online events, hackathons, giveaways, or community challenges
• Ability to build scalable community programs and systems
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to travel regularly for events
• Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the Discord community
• Design and run Discord events, giveaways, and challenges
• Scale contributor and helper recognition programs
• Recruit, onboard, and support community moderators
• Listen to and report community sentiment
• Build and maintain community-sentiment automations
• Build playbooks and resources for community-led events
• Engage developers on Twitter/X and other social channels
• Synthesize community feedback and bug reports into product insights
• Partner on community-facing campaigns, launches, and content
