About the Role

You will establish and govern the commissioning standard for critical infrastructure across EMEA. You will lead capacity acceptance, operational-readiness transfers, technical testing, contractor requirements, and the development of an international commissioning team.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of critical facilities engineering experience
  • 8+ years leading commissioning at programme or portfolio level
  • Owner-side or client-side accountability for accepting large-scale data-centre capacity
  • Experience leading integrated systems testing through acceptance on at least two 50MW or greater hyperscale or AI data-centre projects
  • Experience with high-density liquid-cooled deployments or equivalent adjacent expertise
  • High-voltage and medium-voltage commissioning experience
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams across borders
  • Knowledge of EPC contracts, acceptance mechanisms, warranties, and claims evidence
  • Experience across multiple regulatory jurisdictions
  • Electrical or mechanical engineering degree or equivalent expertise
  • Ability to travel internationally 60–70%, including remote Arctic sites in winter
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom or Norway, or eligibility for sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Author and enforce the Group Commissioning Execution Standard
  • Approve or refuse system energisation, acceptance, and handover
  • Select and govern a portfolio-wide commissioning management platform
  • Integrate commissioning into project programmes and identify delivery risks
  • Define acceptance and turnover requirements in EPC and OEM packages
  • Lead liquid-cooling and high-consequence electrical testing methodologies
  • Build and develop an internationally mobile commissioning function
  • Lead operational readiness and transfer accepted capacity to Operations
  • Set safe systems of work for energisation and testing
  • Lead commissioning relationships with tenants, lenders, insurers, and certification bodies
