About the Role
You will lead day-to-day city operations, maintain fleet health and delivery uptime, and expand operational coverage across merchant locations. You will support restaurant partners, resolve incidents, hire and manage local staff, track performance metrics, and represent the operation with community stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing a hands-on physical-world operation
- Experience managing a direct labor workforce, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management
- KPI management and metrics-driven operations experience
- Attention to detail and process improvement skills
- Relationship management skills with restaurant operators, platform partners, and city officials
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Willingness to work non-standard hours
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day fleet health, deployment zones, and operational uptime across active merchant locations in New Jersey
- Track delivery completion rate, uptime, cost per delivery, and other city KPIs
- Serve as the primary contact for merchant partners
- Onboard restaurants, resolve incidents, and improve the delivery experience
- Hire, train, schedule, and manage local operations staff and contract labor
- Set expectations and manage workforce performance
- Report operational insights and problems to central leadership
- Drive continuous operational improvement
- Represent the operation at neighborhood meetings, with local press, and with city officials
