About the Role

You will lead the UK compliance programme and provide independent second-line challenge across regulatory, financial-crime, and consumer-duty matters. You will advise senior leadership, engage with regulators, manage compliance monitoring and remediation, review financial promotions, chair the Risk & Compliance Committee, and lead the UK Risk & Compliance team.

Requirements

  • Be based in the United Kingdom
  • Hold a degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Have 10+ years of regulatory compliance experience within a relevant FCA-regulated firm
  • Hold or be able to obtain FCA SMF16 approval
  • Have strong knowledge of the FCA Handbook, Consumer Duty, UK Money Laundering Regulations, and SM&CR
  • Have experience managing FCA supervisory and authorisations interactions and regulatory reporting
  • Have experience working across large, international, cross-functional projects
  • Demonstrate knowledge and use of AI

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain the compliance framework in accordance with FCA rules and applicable legislation
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their business impact
  • Develop and deliver the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan and remediate identified issues
  • Provide regulatory advice to senior management on investment and crypto products
  • Act as a primary contact for the FCA and other regulatory bodies
  • Own Consumer Duty oversight
  • Oversee financial crime and AML frameworks with the MLRO
  • Identify and assess risks with the first line of defence
  • Review financial promotions, website content, and marketing communications for FCA compliance
  • Chair the Risk & Compliance Committee
  • Provide training, guidance, and independent investigations of compliance matters
  • Lead UK Risk & Compliance team members
  • Promote core values, risk culture, and risk appetite at Board level
