About the Role

You will own the lifecycle of ongoing-monitoring financial-crime policies and procedures, from drafting through approval and periodic review. You will maintain the control framework, track regulatory developments, translate requirements into practical controls, conduct gap analyses, support audits, and provide subject-matter guidance to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Significant financial-crime compliance experience in a UK-regulated bank, payments firm, or fintech
  • Knowledge of FCA requirements, the Money Laundering Regulations 2017, and JMLSG guidance
  • Experience drafting and maintaining policy and procedure documents
  • Experience managing policy governance and approval processes
  • Experience designing or maintaining a financial-crime control framework
  • Stakeholder-management, analytical, and drafting skills
  • Experience with regulatory horizon scanning, gap analysis, and remediation planning
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting internal audits or regulatory examinations is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Own the lifecycle of ongoing-monitoring crime policies and procedures
  • Draft, review, version-control, obtain approvals for, and periodically review policies
  • Design and maintain the ongoing-monitoring control framework
  • Monitor regulatory developments and update policies and procedures
  • Partner with operations, product, risk, and compliance stakeholders to embed policies
  • Support audits, regulatory examinations, and assurance reviews
  • Conduct regulatory gap analyses and coordinate remediation
  • Provide subject-matter guidance on policy requirements
  • Contribute to financial-crime risk assessments
  • Build relationships across first- and second-line teams
