About the Role
You will provide fractional leadership for financial, treasury, and economic-system functions during an early build-out phase. You will advise on institutional-grade controls, reporting, compliance, crypto-native multi-asset treasury operations, financial runway, and token-economic strategy. You will guide finance providers and operators while leading strategic decisions on treasury structure, risk, and sustainability.
Requirements
- 7+ years of senior finance leadership experience in regulated or audit-heavy environments
- Knowledge of IFRS or GAAP, financial reporting, audit preparation, and internal control frameworks
- Experience managing institutional-scale balance sheets, cash-flow planning, and treasury risk
- Experience executing crypto-native treasury strategy, including on-chain portfolio management, staking, yield, market structure, exchange operations, liquidity programmes, and custody architectures
- Understanding of token economics, including issuance, emissions modelling, incentive design, token-supply governance, treasury-spend optimisation, and sustainability modelling
- Experience interacting with regulators and maintaining compliant multi-jurisdictional processes
- Literacy in on-chain analytics, treasury dashboards, and blockchain data tooling
- Familiarity with smart-contract systems, multi-signature operations, MPC custody, operational security, and key-management governance
- Experience with decentralised governance, ecosystem grants, and protocol-level financial decision-making
Responsibilities
- Advise on core financial and treasury policies, frameworks, and governance
- Advise on executive sign-off, design authority, systems, controls, reporting, and risk-management frameworks
- Ensure audit readiness and a regulatory-compliant posture
- Advise on multi-wallet, multi-signature, and MPC custody structures
- Establish treasury procedures for transfers, approvals, and incident response
- Advise on token-economic policies, issuance controls, vesting, incentives, supply management, liquidity support, and sustainability modelling
- Advise on capital-markets activities including staking, yield strategies, diversification, liquidity provisioning, and structured treasury actions
- Support transparent real-time treasury reporting for community dashboards and board oversight
- Support and guide finance staff, accounting providers, custodians, and treasury operators
- Advise on disaster-recovery controls for treasury access, key management, and operational continuity
- Lead strategic decisions on treasury structure, runway, risk, and token economics
