About the Role
You will operate autonomous semi-trucks safely and in compliance with traffic laws and DOT regulations. You will complete inspections and logs, monitor road and weather conditions, secure cargo, service vehicles, collect test data, and report system performance and maintenance needs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of over-the-road driving experience
- Valid Commercial Class A driver's license with a safe driving record
- Ability to learn and adapt to proprietary software, internal tools, and evolving technology platforms
Responsibilities
- Operate autonomous semi-trucks safely and comply with DOT regulations
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and safety checks
- Complete driving reports, procedures, and tests to collect data
- Provide system-performance feedback to software and safety teams
- Use Slack, Microsoft Office Suite, and internal software interfaces for communication and reporting
- Maintain accurate logs and records
- Research and communicate weather and road conditions affecting safe driving
- Secure trailer cargo and contents
- Maintain and service trucks and trailers
- Communicate maintenance needs to mechanical technicians
- Maintain truck and trailer cleanliness
