About the Role
You will manage usage-based billing operations from customer setup through invoicing, receivables, collections, and cash application. You will reconcile usage data and invoices, investigate exceptions and disputes, support month-end close and SOX controls, monitor operational metrics, and identify opportunities to automate validation, billing, collections, reconciliation, and reporting.
Requirements
- 3–6+ years of experience in Billing Operations, Order-to-Cash, Finance Operations, Accounts Receivable, or a related function
- Strong analytical skills with complex billing datasets
- Understanding of billing, accounts receivable, reconciliation, and financial controls
- Experience with ERP, billing, payment, CRM, and reporting tools
- Ability to investigate discrepancies across multiple systems
- Ability to communicate across finance and technical teams
Responsibilities
- Own operational billing processes for usage-based customers
- Manage customer billing setup and account information
- Monitor the usage-to-bill lifecycle
- Reconcile usage data and customer invoices
- Investigate billing discrepancies and exceptions
- Manage receivables, aging, collections, unapplied cash, and account exceptions
- Resolve customer billing disputes
- Support month-end close and AR reconciliations
- Execute SOX and Order-to-Cash controls
- Develop scalable exception monitoring and controls
- Identify billing-process automation opportunities
- Define and monitor billing operational metrics
