About the Role

You will build and operate backend services, APIs, data systems, and integrations powering Compound’s application layer and operational infrastructure. Work across blockchain and traditional software systems to process on-chain data, support wallets and financial partners, and deliver secure, reliable infrastructure for products and users.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs
  • Index, process, reconcile, and serve on-chain data
  • Handle blockchain-specific failures and data inconsistencies
  • Maintain contract interfaces, transaction workflows, event schemas, and release procedures
  • Develop services and data models for positions, portfolios, transactions, analytics, risk monitoring, notifications, and reporting
  • Own integrations with wallets, custodians, RPC providers, indexers, data platforms, and access providers
  • Build secure service-to-service architecture and access controls
  • Improve reliability through observability, monitoring, alerting, incident response, and operational tooling
  • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical planning
  • Support protocol upgrades through migrations, backfills, reconciliation, monitoring, and rollout plans
