About the Role
You will own the Go backend behind dashboard and SDK services. You will design APIs and data models, build authorization, billing, usage metering, and real-time log pipelines, optimize data access and performance, and work across TypeScript and Next.js when needed to deliver features end to end.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years shipping production backend services
- Deep expertise in Go
- Strong REST/RPC API design, contracts, and versioning
- PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, migrations, and data-scale expertise
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, performance, WebSockets, and SSE
- Working TypeScript competence; Next.js is a plus
- Understanding of frontend data-fetching patterns
- Ability to work in person from San Francisco
- Customer communication and technical tradeoff explanation
Responsibilities
- Own Go services behind the dashboard and SDK
- Design APIs, data models, and frontend contracts
- Build authentication, authorization, billing, and usage-metering capabilities
- Build real-time WebSocket and SSE backends for logs and metrics
- Optimize queries, caching, and server-side response times
- Partner with dashboard, Core, and Platform engineers to ship features
- Make architectural decisions for observability, testing, and security
