About the Role
You will design, build, and maintain backend APIs, services, infrastructure, and integrations that support customer-facing data experiences. You will own features from design through deployment, build high-scale document-indexing systems, optimize performance, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend software-development experience
- Proficiency building backend and API systems with Python, Java, or Go
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
- Experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, or Redis
- Ability to analyze complex problems and communicate technical concepts
- Experience leading software-development projects
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Rapid prototyping with user feedback
- Experience taking ownership of major initiatives
Responsibilities
- Own critical system components
- Build and iterate on high-scale document-indexing systems
- Architect and implement performance-tuning solutions
- Minimize latency and maximize throughput
