About the Role
You will inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair Class 8 autonomous trucks. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, sensor, and vehicle-system issues; maintain records and inventory; support operators; follow safety procedures; and work an overnight shift currently scheduled from 11pm to 7:30am.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technician or mechanic experience, preferably in automotive, heavy-duty trucking, or technology
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills for electrical and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with truck maintenance and repair
- Proficiency with vehicle diagnostic tools, software, and equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
- Willingness to work the overnight shift
Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain the Class 8 autonomous trucking fleet
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, sensor, and vehicle-system issues
- Repair and replace faulty components and systems
- Maintain maintenance, repair, and parts-inventory records
- Provide technical support to truck operators
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and policies
- Stay current on autonomous-vehicle technology and regulations
