About the Role
You will design industrial automation cells from the ground up, covering power, instrumentation, actuation, safety, and compute. You will select architectures, integrate automation electronics with custom electrical solutions, purchase and build systems, and debug cell issues.
Requirements
- Have designed an industrial automation cell from scratch
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- Understand electrical engineering fundamentals
- Understand programming fundamentals and have some programming experience
- Use AI to improve productivity
- Have experience with vision-based systems
- Have PCB design experience or understand mixed-signal electrical design
- Have programming experience with Python or Embedded Rust
Responsibilities
- Design industrial automation cells including power, instrumentation, actuation, safety, and compute
- Research and select instrumentation and actuation architectures
- Integrate traditional automation electronics with custom electrical solutions
- Purchase and help build designed solutions
- Debug problem-approach and functional issues in automation cells
