About the Role
You will assess existing optical capabilities, identify opportunities for improvement, and design, build, and characterize new optical systems. You will translate experimental needs into instrumentation solutions, contribute to spectral and imaging analysis pipelines, and create open-source protocols and designs.
Requirements
- PhD in optical engineering, physics, applied physics, or a closely related field
- At least 2 years of industrial or start-up experience
- Experience designing and building optical systems
- Experience developing novel optical techniques or instrumentation
- Proficiency in code for instrument control, data acquisition, or quantitative analysis
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical findings clearly
