About the Role
You will lead AI-enabled drug discovery collaborations and serve as the primary relationship manager for external partners. You will establish collaboration governance, maintain integrated plans and budgets, coordinate cross-functional execution, manage risks and dependencies, and communicate scientific and operational updates. You will also support agreements, data sharing, strategic partnership activities, executive reporting, and alliance-management process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, engineering, business, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience for Associate Director or 12+ years for Director
- Experience in alliance management, scientific program management, project management, or scientific operations
- Experience in small-molecule drug discovery
- Experience managing complex scientific collaborations and strategic partnerships
- Understanding of drug discovery, machine learning, or computational research environments
- Organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to influence multidisciplinary teams without direct authority
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary alliance manager for AI-enabled drug discovery collaborations and strategic partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and technology partners
- Lead collaboration governance, including steering committees, working groups, executive reviews, and decision documentation
- Align cross-functional teams on objectives, milestones, and deliverables
- Develop and maintain collaboration plans, timelines, budgets, contractual obligations, and partnership metrics
- Coordinate execution, manage risks and dependencies, and facilitate issue resolution
- Translate AI and scientific concepts into actionable updates for collaborators
- Support collaboration agreements, governance structures, data sharing, publications, and strategic partnership activities
- Prepare executive updates, partnership reports, and presentations
- Improve alliance-management processes and governance standards
