You will lead or manage education-policy research focused on federal student loans, Pell Grants, workforce development, and tax credits. You will analyze legislative proposals, write policy materials, coordinate external activities, evaluate research and data, and develop budget estimates.
Requirements
- 7 years of federal higher education policy experience for Assistant Director or 10 years for Director

Responsibilities
- Lead the education-policy portfolio
- Develop policy options for federal student loans and Pell Grant reforms
- Analyze education and workforce-training proposals
- Manage education and workforce policy products, research, and stakeholder groups
- Write policy papers, briefs, op-eds, memos, and blog posts
- Coordinate activities with external partners and stakeholder groups
- Assist congressional staff and media in understanding federal education programs
- Evaluate academic literature, economic data, and government reports
- Estimate and extrapolate budgetary estimates
