About the Role
You will support the development and adoption of market-shaping proposals for climate change, pandemic threats, global health, and other global challenges. You will perform economic appraisal, quantitative and microeconomic modeling, policy and sector analysis, desk research, writing, data analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in economics or a related field, including coursework in intermediate microeconomics and multivariable calculus or equivalent
- Quantitative skills and experience with empirical research methods or microeconomic modeling
- Programming experience in Stata, R, Python, MATLAB, or another relevant language
- Analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stay organized in a fast-moving research environment
Responsibilities
- Conduct economic appraisal and quantitative modeling of market-shaping proposals
- Perform benefit-cost and cost-effectiveness analyses
- Estimate the benefits of innovation, potential market size, and market-shaping incentive costs
- Conduct microeconomic modeling and quantitative analysis
- Model and analyze data using Stata, R, Python, or MATLAB
- Analyze policy and sectors related to climate change, global health, pandemic preparedness, and other global challenges
- Write and revise drafts for policymakers and economists
- Conduct desk research to identify candidate problems for market-shaping interventions
- Communicate and coordinate with relevant stakeholders
