About the Role

You will support daily financial operations by maintaining accurate cash books, trading transactions, and general-ledger records. You will reconcile cash flow, client funds, and equity balances; investigate discrepancies; post journals; support period-end closes; maintain audit documentation; and assist with audits, reporting, compliance, and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of accounting-related experience
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reconciliations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with accounting systems
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain cash books and trading transactions
  • Prepare daily cashflow reconciliation reports and cash position summaries
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedules
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
  • Maintain accounting documentation for audit purposes
  • Support external and internal audits and regulatory reporting
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, policies, and regulatory obligations
  • Identify process improvements for reconciliation controls and operational efficiency
  • Respond promptly and accurately to internal requests and inquiries
  • Coordinate with team members to meet deadlines
