About the Role

You will turn emerging research artifacts into strong open-source and product experiences. You will build core systems and researcher-facing platform features, define stable interfaces, and support external contributors as they ship technical work.

Requirements

  • Experience owning open-source ML or developer-tool systems, research engineering, technical product work, or communities around code and reproducible research.
  • Experience building and debugging model-training, post-training, agent, evaluation, or adjacent experimental loops.
  • Strong experimental judgment, including meaningful baselines, trace inspection, and failure attribution.
  • Strong Python skills.
  • Ability to build artifacts that other researchers and engineers can run, inspect, and extend.
  • Ability to own ambiguous problems and keep partners and teammates informed.

Responsibilities

  • Build core open-source RL, environment, evaluation, and agent systems.
  • Develop researcher-facing features for the training platform.
  • Create APIs, examples, reference implementations, and technical explanations.
  • Turn internal agent and RL abstractions into stable public interfaces.
  • Create contributor paths for environments, harnesses, algorithms, and integrations.
  • Work with research users and external contributors to improve interfaces, code, and research artifacts.

Benefits

  • Flexible work in San Francisco, New York, London, or remote
  • Visa sponsorship
  • Relocation support
  • Professional development budget
  • Team off-sites
  • Conference attendance
