About the Role

You will design and build data services and operational workflows, develop shared data models, APIs, and SDKs, and embed authorization and auditing into the architecture. You will solve distributed-systems problems, turn user needs into reusable capabilities, own delivery through operation, and use AI coding tools to improve engineering workflows.

Requirements

• Practical familiarity with AI coding tools and agentic engineering workflows
• Track record building and operating production software with ownership of complex systems
• Experience in data engineering or transactional, analytical, or distributed systems
• Experience with access control, permissions, and data governance
• Proficiency in Python or another programming language
• SQL skills
• Ability to work productively in Python and TypeScript environments
• Technical leadership through code, design discussions, reviews, and mentoring

Responsibilities

• Design and build services for data ingestion, transformation, storage, querying, and operational workflows
• Develop shared data models, APIs, and SDKs
• Define and enforce authorization, access control, and audit trails
• Solve data consistency, schema evolution, concurrency, performance, and failure-recovery problems
• Turn applied-engineering and defense-user needs into reusable software capabilities
• Own implementation, testing, observability, debugging, and maintainability
• Use AI coding tools and coding agents for implementation, testing, refactoring, and debugging
