About the Role

You will own complex manufacturing revenue accounting and ensure production activity, work orders, WIP balances, and costs are accurately reflected in financial records. You will review customer agreements, apply US GAAP and ASC 606 guidance, lead month-end close activities, prepare audit documentation, and improve controls, data integrity, and automation across revenue and production reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA required.
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Deep expertise in US GAAP, particularly ASC 606.
  • Understanding of WIP accounting and production cost analysis.
  • Experience managing ERP/MRP systems.
  • Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Participation in a drug and alcohol program.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and interpret customer agreements to document US GAAP accounting conclusions.
  • Oversee the production order lifecycle and ensure work orders and WIP balances reflect manufacturing activity.
  • Analyze production variances and quantity discrepancies and develop corrective action plans.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on ASC 606 and relevant GAAP guidance for manufacturing revenue.
  • Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, flux analyses, and production cost reviews.
  • Translate accounting assessments and production data into processes for billing, collections, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare audit-ready documentation and schedules as a primary contact for external auditors.
  • Enhance internal controls, data integrity, and automation across revenue accounting and production reporting.
