About the Role
You will research legislative, regulatory, policy, stakeholder, and industry developments. You will monitor government activity, prepare briefs and meeting materials, summarize hearings and events, maintain government-affairs information, collaborate on initiatives, and complete project deliverables.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate program in Political Science, Public Policy, Government, International Relations, Business, Economics, Communications, or a related field
- Demonstrate interest in government relations, public policy, or legislative affairs
- Use research, analysis, and critical-thinking skills
- Communicate complex information clearly and concisely in writing and verbally
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Work independently and collaboratively
- Travel for in-person orientation, program kickoff, and the final presentation
- Be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on legislative, regulatory, and policy developments
- Monitor government activities and summarize key developments
- Research and organize stakeholder, policymaker, agency, and industry information
- Track and analyze legislation, regulations, policies, and government actions
- Develop policy briefs, issue summaries, presentations, and internal readouts
- Prepare summaries and key takeaways from hearings, briefings, and policy events
- Prepare meeting materials, talking points, background research, and follow-up materials
- Maintain government-affairs, policy, and stakeholder information
- Collaborate on cross-functional government relations initiatives
- Improve research, tracking, and government relations processes
- Complete projects and deliverables accurately and on time
