About the Role
You will pitch article ideas, write first drafts, and edit researchers' and writers' copy into clear, engaging journalism. You will uphold editorial standards and help the media program publish consistently while making technical material accessible without oversimplifying it.
Requirements
- 5+ years as an editor at a major publication
- Excellent published writing for a general audience
- Experience editing work from many different writers
- Ability to clarify technical material without oversimplifying it
- Professional-level English proficiency
Responsibilities
- Edit researchers' and media-team drafts for a general audience
- Write first drafts from team outlines and ideas
- Set and uphold editorial standards
- Help publish at least one piece each week
