About the Role
You will support the development of high-DOF humanoid robotic systems. You will create concepts and prototypes, develop CAD models and technical documentation, assemble robot sub-assemblies, evaluate their performance and durability through simulations or physical systems, and research relevant state-of-the-art topics.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled, preferably in a master's program in mechanical engineering, robotics, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Have CAD design experience, preferably with SolidWorks
- Apply engineering design principles
- Have hands-on experience with complex systems and DIY projects
- Work autonomously on open-ended and evolving tasks
- Be fluent in English
Responsibilities
- Create concepts and prototypes using rapid prototyping methods, including 3D printing
- Develop prototype iterations toward production level using CAD models, technical drawings, and assembly documentation
- Assemble prototypes and humanoid robot sub-assemblies
- Investigate prototype and assembly behavior to assess performance and durability using FEM, MuJoCo, or physical systems
- Research the state of the art for relevant topics
