About the Role
You will lead early- and mid-stage wind-project development across the Eastern United States. You will manage budgets, schedules, risks, permitting, agreements, stakeholder engagement, diligence, consultants, and project handoffs while coordinating technical, commercial, regulatory, and construction partners.
Requirements
- Approximately 4 to 8 years of project development or related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Project management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of renewable-energy development, utility infrastructure, interconnection, permitting, and contracting.
- Familiarity with renewable-energy and energy-storage technologies.
- Written and verbal communication, presentation, stakeholder engagement, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30%.
- Experience using CRM platforms and developing project metrics and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead project development, including budgets, schedules, and risk management.
- Identify, assess, and resolve permitting, policy, commercial, technical, and schedule risks.
- Coordinate cross-functional project partners and subject-matter experts.
- Facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate project risks, opportunities, recommendations, and decisions.
- Manage contractual obligations for key project agreements.
- Lead discretionary permitting activities and coordinate with regulatory authorities.
- Coordinate environmental studies, surveys, due diligence, and reporting.
- Collaborate on engineering, contractor selection, ministerial permits, financing diligence, and project handoffs.
- Manage external consultants, contractors, and project expenditures.
- Provide analysis and reporting for business-development and project-pipeline activities.
