About the Role
You will facilitate hedging for client flows, execute complex cryptocurrency trades, and manage principal trading exposure within established risk limits. You will build and optimize quantitative pricing and risk models, automate hedge execution, and help design market-exposure controls. During coverage rotations, you will respond promptly to changing exposures and client requests, including on weekends and through off-hour paging. You will monitor market narratives, contribute perspectives to internal research, inform new trading products, support technology improvements, share knowledge across stakeholders, represent trading priorities in cross-functional discussions, and mentor junior colleagues.
Requirements
- Have up to three years of experience as an OTC trader in the cryptocurrency industry
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of crypto market microstructure and its mathematical foundations
- Understand cross-market basis opportunities, predatory algorithms, derivatives hedging, beta hedging, positioning, and market drivers
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of electronic and voice trading
- Possess strong client-facing skills and the ability to deliver white-glove service
- Demonstrate the ability to convert institutional prospects into trading clients
- Write proficient Python code and develop new or existing trading tools
- Understand how brokerage supports the firm's broader strategy
- Be available for weekend coverage and off-hour paging
Responsibilities
- Facilitate hedging for client trading flows
- Provide responsive white-glove service during client and market interactions
- Manage risk exposures within established risk-appetite constraints
- Execute and continuously optimize complex trades
- Measure and improve execution quality to increase trading-desk revenue within risk guardrails
- Build and optimize quantitative pricing and risk models
- Lead the automation of hedge execution
- Assist the risk management function in designing controls for aggregate market exposure
- Build supporting risk data and establish exposure guardrails
- Monitor market narratives and contribute perspectives to internal research
- Help inform new trading products and capabilities based on client needs
- Respond immediately to changing exposures and client requests during coverage rotations
- Participate in weekend coverage and off-hour paging
- Provide input into the technology roadmap and implementation
- Evaluate upstream and downstream implications of process changes
- Share knowledge across stakeholder groups
- Monitor themes driving market prices and liquidity
- Represent trading perspectives in cross-department discussions
- Mentor junior colleagues
