About the Role

You will provide credit research coverage for Asian USD and SGD issuers, focusing particularly on technology and property companies across China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea. You will build financial and market models, publish company and thematic research, present insights to clients, supervise research output, and support cross-market analysis.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline.
  • Have 6–8 years of fixed-income or equity research experience within a sell-side institution, asset manager, fund, wealth manager, or rating agency.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of macroeconomics and Asian USD and SGD bond markets.
  • Technology-sector credit experience is highly preferred.
  • Prior supervisory and team-management experience is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg; experience with BQuant and BQL is highly desirable.
  • Possess coding or VBA proficiency and experience with credit ratings, high-yield or distressed debt, or equity analysis.
  • Demonstrate analytical curiosity and communication skills.
  • Show an interest in using AI tools to enhance credit research processes.
  • Demonstrate cross-cultural adaptability across diverse regional markets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive credit research coverage on Asian USD and SGD issuers, with potential expansion into other currencies.
  • Specialize in issuers from China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea, particularly in the technology and property sectors.
  • Build and maintain financial models covering companies, industries, macroeconomic indicators, and the broader bond universe.
  • Publish timely research, including initiations, results updates, and event updates.
  • Develop, lead, and publish thematic research on strategy, regions, sectors, credit ratings, and structural trends.
  • Present and market research insights to high-net-worth individuals, institutional investors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Supervise and drive research reports, presentations, and new topical ideas.
  • Collaborate on cross-market and capital-structure research spanning equities, credit, and macroeconomics.
