About the Role
You will design and develop a low-latency, high-throughput EMS/Smart Order Router system and implement intelligent routing algorithms that weigh execution quality, liquidity, latency, and cost. You will collaborate with traders and product managers to refine routing logic, monitor and optimize system performance in real-world trading conditions, contribute to system resilience and business continuity, support production trading issues, and adopt AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing routing strategies for specific markets such as FX markets or crypto exchanges in Java
- Knowledge of tick data analytics and real-time market data processing
- Familiarity with cloud-based market access or hybrid deployments
- Experience in high-frequency or algorithmic trading environments
- Experience building low-latency systems and working with multicast and unicast market data feeds
- Understanding of the application and infrastructure stack associated with electronic and algorithmic trading
- Proficiency with trading system architecture including OMS, EMS, and market gateways
- Strong understanding of concurrency, networking, and memory management
- Experience with Linux systems and performance profiling tools
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Bonus: Experience in DeFi or crypto
- Bonus: Experience with trade internalization and crossing networks
- Bonus: Exposure to regulatory or compliance-driven environments
- Bonus: Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP, or DevOps processes
