About the Role
You will apply user-centered design methods to create user experiences. You will facilitate user testing, help maintain a UI design system, own projects from sketches through clickable prototypes, advocate for usability and accessibility, and observe operations to inform your product-design work.
Requirements
- Pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, a related field, or have equivalent practical experience
- Understand UX design principles, information architecture, and user-centered design methodologies
- Work independently with ambiguous requirements
- Use design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure designs are implemented as intended
- Manage multiple design projects, timelines, and deadlines using JIRA or Confluence
Responsibilities
- Apply user-centered design, Design Thinking, and Lean Design principles
- Facilitate user testing sessions
- Contribute to the UI design system
- Own design projects from sketches through high-resolution designs and Figma clickable prototypes
- Advocate for end users, UX research and design methods, usability, accessibility, and interface standards
- Observe operations at the Wilmington headquarters and test site to inform designs
