About the Role
You will track US regulatory developments affecting onchain lending, manage comment deadlines and recommended positions, and draft regulatory submissions. You will lead agency and congressional engagement, represent the organization in industry coalitions, manage outside policy counsel, and brief leadership on policy implications.
Requirements
- Have 5 to 8 years of experience working on SEC or CFTC matters
- Have strong knowledge of federal securities law, commodities law, and rulemaking processes
- Demonstrate excellent regulatory writing through comment letters, submissions, or similar work
- Have relationships with agency staff, congressional staff, or industry coalitions
- Learn and explain onchain lending to non-technical audiences
- Exercise sound judgment on escalation and preparing positions for sign-off
- Communicate clearly across teams in Paris, New York, and Washington, DC
Responsibilities
- Track SEC, CFTC, Treasury, and FinCEN regulatory developments and maintain a comment-deadline calendar
- Draft comment letters, regulatory responses, and other written submissions for General Counsel sign-off
- Prepare and lead meetings with agency staff and commissioner offices
- Represent Morpho in trade association working groups and industry coalitions
- Engage congressional offices and committee staff on legislation affecting DeFi lending
- Manage outside policy counsel and consultants, including scope, deliverables, and spend
- Brief leadership and product teams on US policy developments and implications
