About the Role
You will design and embed the UK KYC framework, including policies, procedures, CDD and EDD standards, risk ratings, escalation paths, quality assurance, and training. You will handle complex cases, translate UK regulatory expectations into operational controls, close program gaps, monitor regulatory change, and report on quality, risk, and throughput.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on KYC, CDD, and EDD experience in a regulated UK financial-services firm
- Knowledge of MLR 2017, JMLSG, and FCA financial-crime expectations
- Experience designing or materially improving a KYC framework, procedure, or control
- Ability to write procedures, defend risk decisions, and explain requirements to Product
- Willingness to handle cases
- In-office attendance five days per week
Responsibilities
- Design and embed the UK KYC program
- Translate MLR 2017, JMLSG, and FCA expectations into operational requirements
- Handle complex KYC cases, PEPs, adverse media, and escalations
- Identify and close gaps in documentation, workflows, controls, and training
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Operations, Product, and Engineering
- Track UK regulatory changes and communicate their program impact
- Report on quality, risk, and throughput
- Represent UK requirements in global KYC decisions
