About the Role

You will own documentation for the Kubernetes platform across API references, SDK and CLI documentation, Terraform provider guides, onboarding paths, and release notes. You will validate content against live environments, operate a docs-as-code pipeline, track support-ticket trends, and work with engineering to document public interface changes before launch.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of technical writing experience for a developer-facing API, cloud, or infrastructure product
  • Direct ownership of API reference and getting-started documentation
  • Ability to read Go or TypeScript, use OpenAPI specifications, and validate CLI, SDK, and Terraform provider examples
  • Kubernetes experience, including kubectl, Helm, and cluster provisioning
  • Experience running a Git-based docs-as-code pipeline with CI build and linting
  • Experience writing release notes and breaking-change communications for production APIs
  • Experience using support-ticket data to prioritize documentation work

Responsibilities

  • Own reference documentation for the control-plane API, SDK, CLI, and Terraform provider
  • Verify requests, responses, and error codes against a live environment before publishing
  • Build and maintain onboarding guides for cluster creation, provisioning, console navigation, and infrastructure-as-code setup
  • Write release notes and migration guidance for breaking changes, deprecations, default-value changes, and new capabilities
  • Build and operate a Git-based docs-as-code pipeline with CI builds, linting, versioning, deployment, search, and example validation
  • Monitor support-ticket volume and topic trends to identify and close documentation gaps
  • Read design documents and pull requests affecting public interfaces and document features before launch
