About the Role
You will take technical ownership of critical customer projects and recover projects that are off track. You will diagnose issues across hardware, controls, perception, AI, software, and integration; set technical direction; lead projects when needed; shape the roadmap; work with customers and partners; and coach engineers.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in robotics, computer science, mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field
- 8+ years of hands-on robotics experience
- Deep knowledge of motion planning and control, perception and computer vision, robot learning or AI models, real-time and embedded systems, or software architecture
- Track record of solving difficult problems in real deployments
- Project management capability
- Fluent English
- Willingness to travel to customer sites
- Fluent German or Mandarin is beneficial
- Experience with humanoids, mobile manipulation, or vision-language-action models is beneficial
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, machinery, and functional safety is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Take technical ownership of critical customer projects
- Diagnose system issues across robot hardware, controls, perception, AI models, software, and integration
- Set and defend technical direction
- Re-plan project scope and reset expectations when required
- Shape the product roadmap using field learnings
- Challenge project scope with Sales, Pre-Sales, and project management
- Act as a technical counterpart for senior customers and partners
- Coach engineers across teams
