About the Role
You will own the technical strategy and architecture for integrations with third-party backend gaming service providers. You will design scalable integration workflows, align APIs and use cases with external and internal stakeholders, ensure secure data flows, mentor engineers, lead code reviews, and improve observability, monitoring, and deployment stability.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of game backend systems and services, including identity, entitlements, inventory, progression, and matchmaking.
- Experience designing integrations between large-scale platforms or distributed systems.
- SDK and API design experience.
- Experience with microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud-native environments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Communication, cross-team collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and architecture for integrations with third-party backend gaming service providers.
- Design robust, scalable solutions connecting external game backend services with the platform ecosystem.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert on backend gaming systems, including identity, inventory, entitlements, progression, matchmaking, and social features.
- Collaborate with external providers and internal product and engineering groups to align APIs, workflows, and use cases.
- Ensure secure, reliable, and efficient data flows across integration surfaces.
- Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, and promote software architecture best practices.
- Improve observability, monitoring, and deployment stability across integrated systems.
