About the Role
You will lead experienced engineers building infrastructure for a serverless GPU platform while contributing technically as needed. You will recruit, coach, and manage engineers; set technical direction and priorities; drive design and code reviews; establish reliability and performance standards; and lead resolution and learning for major incidents.
Requirements
- 10+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- Track record building high-performance distributed systems at scale
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure
- Deep knowledge of Linux kernel, file systems, and containers
- Proficiency in Rust, C, C++, or Java
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and grow cloud platform engineers
- Run regular one-to-one meetings focused on coaching, feedback, and career growth
- Set performance expectations and foster ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Drive technical decisions through design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions
- Translate the infrastructure roadmap into priorities and milestones
- Establish reliability, performance, and operational-excellence standards
- Partner with product and engineering to align infrastructure work with business priorities
- Serve as escalation point for major incidents and drive resolution
