About the Role

You will participate in a 10-week internship from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027. You will support requirements definition, system architecture, integration, verification, testing, engineering analysis, and technical documentation. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, contribute to engineering reviews and process improvements, and complete assigned projects on schedule.

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university, preferably in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
  • Understand fundamental engineering principles and systems engineering concepts
  • Demonstrate analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • Demonstrate organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
  • Learn and apply engineering tools, processes, and methodologies
  • Be eligible under U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR
  • Be able to travel for in-person orientation, program kickoff, and the final presentation

Responsibilities

  • Assist with defining, reviewing, decomposing, and tracking system-level requirements
  • Support the development and documentation of system architectures, interfaces, and technical specifications
  • Identify and evaluate technical risks, dependencies, and system-level issues
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and cross-functional partners on system development and integration
  • Support the definition of verification and validation methods for system requirements
  • Develop, review, and execute test plans, procedures, and verification activities
  • Participate in system integration, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving
  • Collect, analyze, and document engineering data and test results
  • Maintain technical documentation and engineering artifacts
  • Participate in engineering reviews, meetings, technical discussions, training, and learning opportunities
  • Collaborate with project management, operations, and business development teams as needed
  • Contribute ideas for process improvement, engineering efficiency, and operational effectiveness
  • Complete assigned projects and deliverables accurately and within established timelines
